you can create the ‘genetic code’ of what happens on stage
Genoma scenico is a dance pièce based on interaction between audience and dancer.
As every human being has got a unique genetic code, in the same way every spectator is invited to discover the uniqueness of the performance through the use of a device inspired on genome research.
Indeed, the 33 cards arranged on the table represent a multiplicity of parameters: every spectator could choose freely those that will compose our personal “choreographic genoma”.
Every single performance generated by the selection of the cards – metaphor of the chance that set of chromosomes is made up with – will be istantly acted by the dancers, as unique artistic result of circumstances and social environment.
With Genoma Scenico, the young italian choreographer Nicola Galli continues his work of research that ranges from choreography to performance, from installation to graphic-visual ideation.
