What is your “point of joy”?
Danya is a nine-year-old girl who has not yet learned to write. This is the exception to the rule.
Along her path leading to literacy she stops, she loses pieces, or perhaps they are simply missing, or maybe the ones she has do not quite fit.
Step by step she meets four friends, each of them bearing qualities in character and behavior which make them appear different and unique in front of Danya’s curious onlooking eyes.
The first one stands out for his firmness and precision, the second one for his determination and stamina, the third one for her imagination and desire for discovery, the fourth one for his willingness to join together and unite.
Danya learns to get to know these four friends. It is fun for her to try to be like them in the way they move, talk and relate to themselves, to others and to the world.
She holds onto a piece from each one of them and Danya manages to put piece after piece together as she continues along the path to reach her “point of joy”.
